Personal Statement:
I offer a practical approach to heart centered therapy. I have a warm, kind, safe atmosphere coupled with very hard work and expertise. In my office we work together to help you find solutions and heal. I start right where you are making goals and finding solutions to your problems. Life affords us many challenges whether we are 2 or 92 and I want to help you with those challenges. I believe in the spirit of the individual and I believe love and joy are possible. My expertise from the past 26 years gives me a strong foundation to draw upon. Beginning as an elementary school teacher I’ve always been drawn to work with children. Then, I worked as a volunteer at King County Sexual Assault Resource Center and entered graduate school at Seattle University. Following Graduate school I worked at Group Health Cooperative in their mental health department for 10 years. For the last 12 years I have been in private practice in West Seattle, as part of that practice I have worked closely with public and private elementary, middle, and high schools throughout the city.
In addition to therapeutic counseling, I am available for court-ordered supervised visitations and work as a Guardian ad Litem for children in King County.
