Personal Statement:
Each of us is doing the best we can. Yet often we’re not happy with this. There are things we may not see about ourselves; or we may not know how to alter what we do see. We may feel stuck, unsure, or find ourselves in emotional pain.
It can take a lot to express and address one’s feelings, difficulties, and concerns with another person. My intent is to support you in doing so in ways that are respectful, sensitive, and attuned to your ongoing development.
My approach is interactive, warm, holistic, and grounded in an understanding of how we change and grow. I work in an empathetic and inquiring way, supporting you in facing what’s difficult in your life and within yourself. I help you recognize, clarify, and work with your creative and destructive patterns. This leads you to feel better about yourself as you discover more successful and empowered ways of being.
I have many years of postgraduate training and experience. I am happy to talk with you on the phone or in person about your wants and needs for therapy.
