Personal Statement:
I think of therapy as a process of examining ones' feelings, thoughts, behaviors, communication styles and/or significant relationships. We all have histories, experiences, beliefs and values that influence how we perceive what is happening to us in the present. Once an individual or couple is able to identity or define why something is a problem, effective goals, strategies, and solutions for change can occur.
Having been a therapist for over 30 years, I have training in many different therapeutic techniques. I will utilize all the available tools, information and resources that I have at my disposal in a non-judgmental and supportive environment. I am an interactive therapist and will give you feedback. I encourage questions and dialogue. While some problems or incidents can be solved with a few sessions, many life problems will take longer. Together we will develop a plan.
